Chimpanions have arrived in the Chimpverse
When 222 mysterious Eggs appeared during Crane Season, nobody knew exactly what was waiting inside.
Every Egg looked the same. They could be collected, traded and carried inside a Chimp’s Adventure Pouch, but what was inside remained a mystery.
That is about to change.
The Eggs are hatching, six new characters are entering the Chimpverse and a new layer of Chimp ownership is beginning.
They are called Chimpanions.
Meet the Chimpanions
Chimpanions are collectible sidekicks created to live alongside your Chimp.
The 5,555 Chimps remain at the centre of Chimpers. Your Chimp is the hero, its Adventure Pouch is the home, and its Chimpanion is a new character to collect, equip, customise and eventually take into games and adventures.
The first six Chimpanions are Kara, Koguma, Koinu, N-100, Numa and Tanchō.
Each has its own appearance, personality and story, with plenty of room for those stories to grow.
Chimpanions are fun sidekicks first. Over time, they’ll be shaped by how they are dressed, what they collect and the adventures they experience alongside their Chimp.
Born from Genesis
The story of Chimpanions reaches back to the Ancient Chronicles.
When Kami destroyed the corrupted book, its magic scattered across the Chimpverse and settled beneath the earth.
As the magic began creating new life, the presence of the Genesis Chimps shaped what was forming below.
Five Eggs were influenced by their memories, spirit and character.
Kara, Koguma, Koinu, N-100 and Numa each carry a connection to the Genesis Chimp that awakened them, giving their owners a small piece of the history and lore surrounding an original 1/1.
Tanchō’s Egg formed somewhere untouched by the Genesis, allowing the magic to create something completely new.
Tanchō hatched first and, guided by a mysterious instinct, travelled across the Chimpverse to find the other five Eggs.
When all six finally hatched, their awakening stirred the dormant magic once again.
Other Eggs are now waiting to be discovered, shaped by the Genesis, the seasons, the lands and the creatures around them.
Tanchō found the first five.
Their journey was only the beginning.
Only 222
There are only 222 Crane Season Chimpanions, spread across six rarity levels:

Rarity determines scarcity and collectability.
Every Chimpanion can be equipped, customised and used in the same core experiences, from Common through to the single Masterpiece.
Inside the Collector Hub, every equipped Chimpanion will give its Chimp the same +1 Collector Point, regardless of rarity.
From Egg to Chimpanion
Every Crane Season Egg began exactly the same, with the same chance of revealing any character or rarity.
The 222 Eggs entered the Chimpverse through four routes:
- 100 Free Holder Raffle — distributed through a weighted raffle based on Chimp Score and Prestige, with a maximum of one Egg per wallet.
- 72 Crane Season Mint — reserved for active Crane Season participants through Participation Tickets at 0.07 ETH.
- 25 Protocol Chimps — hidden inside the Adventure Pouches of selected Protocol Chimps.
- 25 Chimpers Treasury — reserved for future rewards, activations, partnerships and ecosystem use.
Hatching reveals the character inside, together with its rarity and Genesis lineage.
The Egg remains on the same token ID, with its artwork and metadata updating to reveal the Chimpanion inside.
Your Chimp, its Pouch and a new companion
Every one of the 5,555 Chimps has its own on-chain Adventure Pouch, powered by ERC-6551.
The Pouch belongs to the Chimp, allowing it to carry tokens, NFTs, artwork, collectibles and other digital assets.
When the Chimp changes hands, everything inside its Pouch can travel with it.
Chimpanions have been built directly into that system.
Once hatched, a Chimpanion must be placed inside a Chimp’s Adventure Pouch before it can be equipped. Each Chimp can have one Chimpanion equipped at a time, creating a visible relationship between the two.
Equipping a Chimpanion will give the Chimp +1 Collector Point in the Collector Hub. The bonus will be the same across every rarity and limited to one equipped Chimpanion.
The Adventure Pouch is beginning to feel less like a wallet and more like an actual inventory, with the Chimpanion becoming the first character your Chimp can equip.
Discover the Almanac
The Chimpanion Almanac brings the whole collection together.
It records the characters, rarities and Genesis lineages, allowing collectors to explore the Crane Season set, see what has been discovered and trace where each Chimpanion came from.
As more Chimpanions enter the Chimpverse, the Almanac will grow with them.
It will become a living record of the characters we discover, the stories behind them and how their Genesis lineages expand over time.

Make it yours
Hatching reveals your Chimpanion, but that is only its starting point.
Every Chimpanion has its own Wardrobe with three simple sections:
- Base — the Chimpanion’s original appearance.
- Skin — a new outfit or more substantial redesign.
- Variant — an alternative colour version of an owned look.
Skins and Variants belong to the individual Chimpanion they were acquired for and travel with it if the Chimpanion changes hands.
Only its owner can acquire cosmetics for it, and each eligible cosmetic can only be acquired once for that character.
Some will be limited by edition, some will be available for a set period, and others may be connected to special events, artists or experiences.
Wardrobe items will be acquired using $CHMPSTR, giving the token a simple use inside the Chimpanions experience.
Two Chimpanions that begin as the same character can gradually become very different.
One might remain in its original Base form. Another could build a Wardrobe of limited Skins and Variants that becomes part of its identity and history.
Every Wardrobe purchase also feeds back into the Chimpers ecosystem.
25% of the $CHMPSTR is burned, 25% goes to the Chimpers Treasury and the remaining 50% is divided equally between the five Genesis Adventure Pouches connected to the first Chimpanions.
That sends 10% of every Crane Season Wardrobe purchase to each Genesis Adventure Pouch, connecting the new characters directly back to the originals that inspired them.
Collect, equip and play
The first version of Chimpanions is focused on getting the foundations right.
Hatch them. Discover their lineage. Explore the Almanac. Equip one to your Chimp. Begin building its Wardrobe.
That is the start.
We’re building Chimpanions as an ongoing layer across the Chimpers ecosystem. Equipped Chimps will be able to enter future games and experiences, discover collectibles and take part in seasonal adventures.
One of the first adventures we’re developing will send Chimps and their Chimpanions into the Chimpverse in search of Fortune Cookies.
Some may return with a message or blessing from Master Chimpo. Others may discover something inside, including packs connected to a seasonal card collection.
Those experiences are still being built, but the direction is simple.
We want Chimpanions to become more interesting through ownership and activity.
The first chapter
Crane Season introduces the first six Chimpanions, but it is only the first chapter.
Future seasons will bring new characters, lineages, Wardrobes, collectibles and adventures into the Chimpverse.
Some Chimpanions will be shaped by the Genesis. Others will emerge from the changing seasons, different lands and completely new stories.
The Almanac will expand, the game layer will deepen and every Chimp’s Adventure Pouch can become a more personal record of what its owner has collected and experienced.
Through all of it, the Chimp remains the hero.
Chimpanions are here to make owning one more fun, personal and alive.
